Recreation

The Northern Triad Soccer Club (NTSC) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose sole mission is to provide a safe and positive environment for the youth of the northern triad area so that they may experience the benefits of sports competition.

Our recreation program focuses on individual player development and the enjoyment of the game of soccer – not on teams or winning games. We believe it is important for our players, parents and coaches to embrace this philosophy as it is an important foundation of NTSC.

NTSC supports US Youth Soccer’s teaching philosophy with respect to small-sided soccer in U-06, U-08 and U-10. Our small-sided, continuous play model that maximizes touches on the ball has been widely copied throughout the country. This philosophy allows the game to be the teacher by maximizing each player’s touches on the ball and encourages all the players to develop their skills in all positions. Further, the philosophy discourages intense competition until the older age groups.

Where and when do the team’s practice?

All team practice days, time and locations are determined by the team’s parent volunteer coach. It is a rewarding experience for both you and your child!   Volunteer coach!

How do I register my player?

NTSC registration

Now that I have registered my players, what happens next?

Once teams have been formed, all confirmed COACHES will attend a pre-season coaches meeting approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the season. Coaches will pick up their team uniforms, rosters, schedules and coach pack materials. Coaches will be asked to contact their players within 3-5 days to arrange practice times and locations.

What do I need for the season?

Shin guards are required for all players. These can be purchased at any sporting goods store. Soccer ball and cleats are optional, but recommended. Please NO toe cleats.  There are cleats specific to Soccer.

Refund Policy

Please remember that NTSC DOES NOT offer refunds. NTSC will do their best to accommodate location, coach and friend requests, but they are NOT guaranteed. Under special circumstances, NTSC will offer a credit for future seasons. Your request for a credit will be reviewed by the NTSC Board of Directors. Refunds may be granted for the following reasons ONLY:  medical emergency, relocation from the area, transfer to an NTSC Challenge/Classic  team, or the Club’s inability to place a player on a team.  Refunds will NOT be made for:  the Club’s inability to satisfy a player’s special team request, deciding not to play; or, cancellation of games due to inclement weather.  Late fees will not be refunded and, in all cases, an administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.

Weather Information

While NTSC does not take canceling training and games lightly, the primary concern is player safety. This includes not only inclement weather but also field conditions which may be from an earlier rain.
Parents can find out the status each week by two methods:
1.  Visit the NTSC website.  On the home page, you will find the status of fields.  You may also click on the “Weather Info” page.
2.  Call the NTSC weather number, (336) 945-8866.
