95 NTSC Strikeforce team photo with Beat the Heat Finalist trophies
The Stokes Strike Force U10 Soccer Team marched through the competition last weekend in Winston-Salem's Beat the Heat Soccer Tournament. In the first match, the Strike Force defeated the Greensboro United 3-2 and in the second match scored six second-half goals to beat the Burlington White 7-4. In Sunday morning's semifinal, the team cruised by the Yadkin Blue Ice 4-2 and earned their way into the championship against the Greensboro United. The Strike Force wrapped up their inaugural season with a winning regular-season record, a 3rd place league finish, and a Championship appearance.
