11U - 18U Select



       


Program Description

The select program is a hybrid program that allows both challenge and classic teams to participate in the same competition.  The program offers the opportunity for  11U - 18U players move into a team environment in which the level of competition, commitment and player development falls between the Recreational program and Classic program.

All Classic teams will be coached by Director of Coaching or by qualified USSF/NSCAA/UEFA licensed staff. CLICK HERE to view the NTSC Coaching Staff.

All select players are required to tryout each May following the season with players being placed on teams based on their ability. There maybe more than one team at each age group depending on the number of players, with the Red team being the 1st team, White team being 2nd team.

Age Groups & Gender

The select program is open to all 11U - 18U Boys and Girls. Players must attend tryouts in May/June to be placed on a specific team for the following season. CLICK HERE for 2016 - 2017 Tryout Schedule.

Commitment 

All Select teams teams will play in the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association League, as well as competing in State Cup along with 1-2 tournaments per season. Classic Teams will practice twice a week at king soccer complex. Girls Practice  Tuesday and Thursdays nights, with Boys practicing Monday and Wednesday nights. Practice time slots vary depending on age and coach commitments and will start either at 6pm, 6.30pm or 7pm. 

Classic program is a year round commitment to both the Fall (August - November) and Spring seasons (February - May) for  11U - 14U players. 15U - 18U  Girls teams only require a Fall commitment (August - November), with 15U - 18U Boys teams playing in the Spring (February - May) Only, to avoid the High school soccer seasons.

Games will be played over the weekends against other clubs within the state, with the possibility of occasional weeknight games. Travel will very by team and is determined by which division NCYSA place your team in. Teams will be placed in either West or Piedmont Divisions.

Registration

All players wishing to tryout for a select team must register for tryouts in May/June or Supplemental tryouts throughout the year. CLICK HERE for tryout information and registration details.
