Stokes Tire Soccer Support

Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc. and Uniroyal® Tire kicked IN soccer balls and cash to support Northern Triad Soccer Club & Soccer Boppers

King, N.C. – (January 10, 2012) — Northern Triad Soccer Club & Soccer Boppers has received more than $1050.00 in both funds and equipment from Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc. and Uniroyal® Tire. Since 2000, the Uniroyal Soccer Program has donated nearly $14 million in funds and equipment, including over one million soccer balls, to more than 3,000 youth soccer leagues nationwide.

“Being in touch with our community and its soccer organization is such a meaningful experience,” said Corey Foster from Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc.. “Knowing we are having a positive impact on these kids when we are giving out the soccer balls is priceless.”

“After 12 years of dedication, the program continues to grow and support more communities thanks to dealers like Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc.,” said Ana Martin, Uniroyal Communications Manager. “Over 1,100 participants have connected with their local youth soccer programs across the United States. Bringing value to families is what Uniroyal believes in, and the soccer program enables us to do so in an unmatched way.”

Uniroyal announces the introduction of the new Laredo® Cross Country Tour tire. Launched August 1, 2011, this affordable tire is designed specifically for CUVs, SUVs and light trucks. As he begins his first year with the Northern Triad Soccer Club, Antonio Sabio will be serving as the Director of Player Development. Sabio was most recently a staff coach and goalkeeper coach for Twin City Youth Soccer Association in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Sabio got his coaching start in 2001 with the Augusta (Ga.) Arsenal Soccer Club.  He also assisted with the coach’s education program and oversaw fund-raising and budget management. His experience in Augusta landed him a spot with the Team Alliance Soccer Club in Winston-Salem, as the director of goalkeeping and pre-ODP training.

He was subsequently hired as assistant men’s soccer coach at Montreat (N.C.) College, an NAIA school outside Asheville, N.C. Sabio has also served as assistant men’s and women’s coach at Iowa Central Community College and
